Could You Trust An Atheist President

How could anyone trust a president that's Atheist ?

The religious affiliations of Presidents of the United States can affect their elect-ability, shape their visions of society and also how they want to lead it, and shape their stances on policy matters.

Thomas Jefferson,] Abraham Lincoln, William Howard Taft and Barack Obama[ were accused of being atheists during election campaigns, while others, such as Jimmy Carter, used faith as a defining aspect of their campaigns and tenure to hold the office.

Almost all of the presidents can be characterized as Christian, at least by upbringing, though some were unaffiliated with any specific religious body. Protestants predominate, with only one Roman Catholic president - John F. Kennedy. Some are thought to have been deists, or irreligious.

No president thus far has been openly an atheist or an adherent of any non-Christian religion.

Would you trust an atheist president?

YES, beings Politics and Politicians should NOT have any thing to do with or about RELIGIONS but what is best and right for ALL THE PEOPLE and the country ... Hmm, seems people repeat questions in here too. No one can prove that there is or is not a God, from the looks of things, can't say I believe beings next to human greed for money, power and control ... the Religious are major causes of WAR, DEATH ... and HATE around the World and have been since 4-ever !!!

Personally I would trust a Christian president more than an atheist president, but if that atheist president could help my country, show good morals, and not bad mouth God then I wouldn't care because you don't have to be a godly president to be a good president.

What say you?
